to do mammograms and some procedures.
Onsite Monday through Friday, 8 to 5
General Call and weekends optional for additional pay.

The Breast Imager will play a crucial role in the interpretation of mammograms and other breast imaging modalities. The ideal candidate will have specialized training and experience in breast imaging techniques, along with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret mammograms and other breast imaging studies to detect and diagnose breast abnormalities, including but not limited to, breast cancer, cysts, and benign tumors.
  2. Utilize advanced imaging technology, such as digital mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and tomosynthesis, to provide accurate assessments of breast health.
  3. Collaborate with radiologists, oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients diagnosed with breast conditions.
  4. Perform image-guided procedures, such as breast biopsies and aspirations, using ultrasound, stereotactic, or MRI guidance.
  5. Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in breast imaging through continuing education, participation in conferences, and professional development activities.
  6. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, quality assurance standards, and patient safety protocols in all aspects of breast imaging services.
  7. Educate patients about breast health, screening recommendations, and the importance of early detection in preventing breast cancer.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient consultations, imaging interpretations, and procedural outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Qualifications:

  1. Medical degree from an accredited institution and completion of a residency program in radiology.
  2. Board certification or eligibility in radiology with subspecialty training in breast imaging.
  3. Valid medical license to practice in the state of Texas
  4. Proficiency in interpreting mammograms, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and other breast imaging modalities.
  5. Experience performing image-guided breast procedures, such as biopsies and aspirations, preferred.
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team
