Key Responsibilities:
Interpretation of Medical Images: Review and analyze diagnostic imaging studies (X-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound, etc.) to identify abnormalities, diseases, and injuries.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports of imaging findings and communicate results to referring physicians to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Image-Guided Procedures: Perform minimally invasive procedures using imaging technology, such as biopsies, drainage, or injections.
Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, surgeons, and oncologists, to provide comprehensive care.
Patient Safety: Ensure proper radiation safety practices are followed to minimize patient exposure during imaging studies.
Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control and improvement processes to maintain high standards of care in diagnostic imaging.
Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with advances in radiology through ongoing education and training.
Required Qualifications:
Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
Completion of a residency in Radiology
Board certification or eligibility in Radiology
Texas State licensure to practice medicine
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with other medical professionals.
