About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lender who understands the dynamics of West Texas markets and is passionate about building long-term customer relationships. This role offers a unique combination of community-based decision-making and the growth opportunities of a bank with solid capital and clear expansion plans. You will own a portfolio, originate new business, and partner with local leaders to support the region's economic success.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage a commercial lending portfolio focused on small-to-medium enterprises, agriculture, and owner-occupied commercial real estate.
Originat e and structure credit facilities, prepare loan presentations, and ensure accurate and timely underwriting and documentation.
Build strong community relationships through proactive business development, networking, and participation in local events.
Monitor portfolio performance, ensure regulatory and bank policy compliance, and work with credit administration to manage risk.
Provide exceptional customer service — act as a trusted advisor to clients and identify cross-sell opportunities with other bank services.

Qualifications & Skills

3+ years of commercial lending experience, preferably with exposure to West Texas or similar rural/agricultural markets.
Strong credit analysis and loan structuring skills; familiarity with SBA, USDA, and conventional loan products a plus.
Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills; community involvement is highly valued.
Self-starter with proven business development success and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred; relevant industry certifications are a plus.
