About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Officer / Lender with expertise in SBA and USDA loan programs. This is a 100% remote role, providing the flexibility to work from anywhere in the U.S. while building and managing a portfolio of business clients nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

Originate, structure, and close SBA and USDA loans for small to medium-sized businesses
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, referral partners, and community organizations
Review financial statements, assess creditworthiness, and prepare complete loan packages
Collaborate with underwriters, legal, and operations teams to ensure timely and compliant loan closings
Generate new business opportunities and expand the bank’s lending footprint
Stay current on SBA and USDA regulations, programs, and market trends

Qualifications

Proven experience as a lender or BDO with SBA and USDA lending expertise
Strong knowledge of business financial statements, credit analysis, and underwriting
Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently in a remote, results-driven environment
Proficiency with banking software and loan processing platforms
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
