Radiology opportunity Kansas LV805

Located in a college town, a little over an hour to Kansas City Airport. Need general radiologist that can do some basic IR. Schedule is 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, employee position.
90 to 100 cases per day, 2-3 procedures ( joint injections, lumbar puncture, CT or ultrasound guided biopsies and the like). Can be no call (better pay if you take call). Malpractice is covered. Benefits and pay are very competitive and negotiable.

Responsibilities:
Diagnostic Imaging: Perform and interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy.

  1. Patient Care: Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and answering any questions or concerns.
  2. Image Analysis: Review and analyze imaging results to identify and diagnose medical conditions, injuries, or diseases.
  3. Consultation: Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss findings, provide expert opinions, and contribute to patient management plans.
  4. Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of image quality and accuracy, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  5. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  6. Record Keeping: Accurately document patient information, procedures, and findings in electronic medical records (EMR) or other designated systems.
  7. Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with advancements in radiology technology, techniques, and best practices through ongoing professional development.
  8. Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements, including patient privacy (HIPAA) and radiation safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Radiology.
  • State of Kansas medical license to practice as a Radiologist.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and safety.
