Radiology opportunity Kentucky – RT329
Need: General radiologist that can do basic IR (no vascular).
$550,000 first year – negotiable.
$125,000 signing bonus.
No call.
10 weeks vacation.
Ongoing retention bonus. $25,000 annually.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Imaging Interpretation:
Analyze and interpret medical images to diagnose diseases, injuries, and other medical conditions.
Provide timely and accurate reports detailing findings to referring physicians and healthcare teams.
Utilize advanced imaging technologies and software to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
Consultation and Collaboration:
Consult with referring physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases and imaging findings.
Provide expert opinions and recommendations on appropriate imaging techniques and procedures based on clinical indications.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure the quality and accuracy of imaging procedures by providing guidance and protocols to radiologic technologists.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of imaging equipment to maintain high standards of image quality and patient safety.
Continuing Education:
Stay current with advancements in radiology, including emerging technologies, techniques, and treatments.
Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops to expand knowledge and maintain professional certifications.
Patient Care:
Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring their comfort and cooperation during imaging examinations.
Exercise empathy and professionalism while interacting with patients, particularly in sensitive or stressful situations.
Qualifications:
Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Specialization: Board certification in radiology from a recognized medical board (e.g., American Board of Radiology).
Licensing: Kentucky license to practice as a radiologist.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
