The ideal candidate will specialize in breast imaging and diagnosis, utilizing state-of-the-art imaging technologies such as mammography, ultrasound, MRI, and image-guided biopsies.

This role involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, surgeons, and primary care providers, to ensure high-quality patient care and early breast cancer detection.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, and breast MRIs.
Perform image-guided breast procedures, including biopsies, aspirations, and pre-surgical localizations.
Provide consultations to referring physicians regarding imaging findings and next steps.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient management plans.
Participate in quality assurance programs and peer review initiatives.
Stay updated on advancements in breast imaging techniques and technology.
Educate and mentor residents, fellows, or medical students (if applicable).

Qualifications:

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology.
Fellowship training in Breast Imaging or equivalent experience.
Active medical license in the state of North Carolina or eligibility to obtain one.
