The ideal candidate will bring expertise in breast imaging modalities, a commitment to high-quality patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and perform breast imaging studies, including mammography (2D/3D), ultrasound, and MRI.
- Conduct image-guided breast procedures such as biopsies, localizations, and aspirations.
- Collaborate with referring physicians, surgeons, and oncologists to develop individualized care plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and patient consultations as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed reports within established turnaround times.
- Ensure compliance with ACR (American College of Radiology) and MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) guidelines.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Radiology. Fellowship training in Breast Imaging.
Licensure: Active and unrestricted Alabama medical license (or eligible to obtain).
Proficiency in mammography, ultrasound, and breast MRI interpretation.
Strong skills in image-guided procedures, including biopsies and wire localizations.
