Join 14 Cardiologists and 5 Nurse Practitioners. Starting salary is very competitive and negotiable. Full benefits package and relocation money in addition. Signing bonus $25,000. Job code WT208 Key Responsibilities: Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis: Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine the extent and nature of cardiovascular diseases. Interpret diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms, angiograms, and stress tests, to establish accurate diagnoses.
- Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans based on the patient’s condition, medical history, and test results. Determine the suitability of interventional procedures and explain them to patients, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Interventional Procedures: Perform a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures, including but not limited to angioplasty, stent placement, and atherectomy, with precision and skill. Ensure patient safety and minimize complications during procedures.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including cardiologists, surgeons, nurses, and technicians, to provide comprehensive care to patients. Participate in multidisciplinary heart team meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment strategies.
- Follow-Up Care: Monitor patients’ progress post-intervention and adjust treatment plans as needed. Provide ongoing education and counseling to patients about lifestyle changes, medication management, and adherence to treatment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including procedure notes, progress reports, and treatment plans. Communicate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Quality Improvement and Research: Stay current with the latest advancements in interventional cardiology through continuous medical education. Participate in research activities, clinical trials, and quality improvement initiatives related to cardiology.
- Compliance and Ethics: Adhere to all healthcare regulations, policies, and ethical standards in patient care and interactions.
Qualifications: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Board certification in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
- South Carolina State medical license and the ability to obtain hospital privileges.
- Proven experience in performing interventional cardiology procedures.
