The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing a broad spectrum of image-guided, minimally invasive procedures, while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, with opportunities to participate in multidisciplinary care teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a wide range of interventional procedures, including but not limited to:
Vascular access
Biopsies and drainages
Tumor ablations
Angiography and angioplasty
Embolization (e.g., uterine fibroids, GI bleeding, trauma)
Central venous access and dialysis-related interventions
Biliary and genitourinary interventions
Interpret diagnostic imaging studies relevant to interventional procedures (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy)
Collaborate with referring physicians and clinical teams to determine appropriate interventional treatment plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Participate in quality assurance initiatives, continuing education, and departmental meetings
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
Completion of an accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology
Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology required
Board certification (or eligibility) in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent
Valid medical license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Texas
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
