As a Neuroradiologist, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders by interpreting medical images of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in neuroradiology, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information.
Responsibilities:
- Image Interpretation:
- Analyze and interpret medical images, including MRI, CT scans, and angiograms, to diagnose and evaluate neurological conditions.
- Identify abnormalities, lesions, and tumors within the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other medical specialists to discuss and coordinate patient care.
- Provide consultations to referring physicians on imaging findings and assist in determining the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment pathways.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of radiological reports, adhering to established protocols and standards.
- Stay informed about advancements in neuroradiology and incorporate best practices into daily work.
- Patient Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and obtain relevant medical history for accurate diagnosis.
Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Radiology with a subspecialty in Neuroradiology.
Florida State medical license and compliance with all continuing education requirements.
