Need experienced NP or PA to work in Neurosurgery Practice,
4% of base salary – annual quality incentive paid quarterly.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurosurgery to join our healthcare team. As a Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner, you will work closely with our team of neurosurgeons, providing comprehensive care to patients with neurological disorders and conditions. Your expertise in both nursing and advanced practice will be critical in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients throughout their neurosurgical journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:

   – Conduct thorough neurosurgical assessments, including physical examinations, medical history review, and neurological evaluations.

   – Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as MRIs, CT scans, and EEGs.

   – Formulate differential diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with the neurosurgeons.

 

  1. Treatment Planning and Management:

   – Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans for patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures.

   – Prescribe medications and other treatment modalities as necessary, adhering to practice guidelines and considering patient-specific factors.

   – Provide patient education regarding surgical procedures, medications, and post-operative care.

  1. Intraoperative Support:

   – Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the smooth flow of neurosurgical procedures.

   – Assist in surgical interventions, including pre-operative preparation, intraoperative monitoring, and wound closure.

   – Manage and monitor patients’ vital signs, anesthesia, and response to surgical interventions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

– Master’s degree in Nursing with specialization as a Nurse Practitioner.

– Knowledge of neurosurgical procedures, diagnostics, and treatment modalities.

– Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team.

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

– Proficient computer skills for documentation and utilization of electronic medical record systems.
