Nurse Practitioner opportunity Maryland

Outpatient Primary Care only.
No weekends No nights.
8 am to 5 pm schedule.
$125,000 plus production bonus (negotiable with more experience)
Full benefits including Malpractice, Health insurance and more.
15 to 20 patients per day.
Willing train new graduate.
Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Perform thorough physical assessments, medical histories, and reviews of systems.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, including but not limited to, respiratory infections, diabetes, hypertension, and musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and screenings.
  • Develop appropriate treatment plans and initiate interventions accordingly.
  1. Treatment and Care:
  • Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, and therapies.
  • Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, disease management, and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Monitor and manage patients with chronic conditions, promoting self-management and compliance with treatment plans.
  1. Health Promotion and Preventive Care:
  • Conduct health screenings and assessments, including immunizations, cancer screenings, and risk factor identification.
  • Develop and implement preventive care plans based on patient needs and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, health maintenance, and disease prevention strategies.
  • Foster a patient-centered approach, encouraging patients to actively participate in their own healthcare decisions.
  1. Documentation and Communication:
  • Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records (EMR) of patient encounters, treatments, and progress.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and support staff.
  • Provide clear and concise verbal and written communication to patients, ensuring they understand their conditions and treatment plans.
  1. Continuous Professional Development:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical advancements, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects, as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification in the state of practice.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient or primary care setting (preferred but not necessary).
  • In-depth knowledge of primary care principles, diagnostic procedures, and treatment modalities.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Dedication to providing patient-centered, evidence-based care.
