Nurse Practitioner opportunity Maryland
Outpatient Primary Care only.
No weekends No nights.
8 am to 5 pm schedule.
$125,000 plus production bonus (negotiable with more experience)
Full benefits including Malpractice, Health insurance and more.
15 to 20 patients per day.
Willing train new graduate.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Evaluation:
- Perform thorough physical assessments, medical histories, and reviews of systems.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, including but not limited to, respiratory infections, diabetes, hypertension, and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and screenings.
- Develop appropriate treatment plans and initiate interventions accordingly.
- Treatment and Care:
- Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, and therapies.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, disease management, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Monitor and manage patients with chronic conditions, promoting self-management and compliance with treatment plans.
- Health Promotion and Preventive Care:
- Conduct health screenings and assessments, including immunizations, cancer screenings, and risk factor identification.
- Develop and implement preventive care plans based on patient needs and evidence-based guidelines.
- Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, health maintenance, and disease prevention strategies.
- Foster a patient-centered approach, encouraging patients to actively participate in their own healthcare decisions.
- Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records (EMR) of patient encounters, treatments, and progress.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and support staff.
- Provide clear and concise verbal and written communication to patients, ensuring they understand their conditions and treatment plans.
- Continuous Professional Development:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical advancements, guidelines, and best practices.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities and professional development activities.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects, as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification in the state of practice.
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient or primary care setting (preferred but not necessary).
- In-depth knowledge of primary care principles, diagnostic procedures, and treatment modalities.
- Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Dedication to providing patient-centered, evidence-based care.
