Physician Assistant opportunity Maryland
Primary Care, Monday through Friday, no call, no weekends, clinic only.
15 to 18 patients per day.
Will train new graduates.
Full benefits including: Malpractice, Health insurance
$125,000 first year, negotiable with more experience.
Additional production bonus.
Responsibilities:
1. Patient Evaluation and Treatment:
– Conduct patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and symptom analysis.
– Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as bloodwork, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms.
– Collaborate with the supervising physician to develop accurate diagnoses and create individualized treatment plans.
– Prescribe medications, administer injections, and provide appropriate medical interventions.
2. Preventive Care and Health Promotion:
– Perform routine health screenings and immunizations.
– Promote health maintenance through counseling on nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention.
– Conduct regular follow-ups to monitor patients’ progress and manage chronic conditions effectively.
– Coordinate and refer patients to specialists for further evaluation or specialized care when necessary.
3. Documentation and Record-Keeping:
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMRs) to ensure continuity of care.
– Document patient encounters, including assessments, treatments, and recommendations.
– Comply with legal and ethical standards regarding patient confidentiality and privacy.
4. Collaborative Care:
– Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other support staff.
– Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care plans, progress, and coordination of services.
– Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to address concerns and provide education.
5. Continuous Learning and Professional Development:
– Stay updated with current medical research, treatment guidelines, and best practices.
– Attend conferences, workshops, and seminars to enhance knowledge and skills.
– Seek opportunities for professional growth and pursue relevant certifications and licenses.
Requirements:
– Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
– Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a valid state license.
– Proven experience in a primary care or family medicine setting is preferred but not necessary.
– Strong knowledge of medical principles, diagnoses, treatments, and medications.
– Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
– Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
