The ideal candidate will have expertise in interpreting a wide range of imaging studies, including X-rays, CT, MRI, and ultrasound, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
The role requires a highly trained professional who can work in a fast-paced environment, deliver accurate results, and collaborate with referring physicians and other medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret Diagnostic Imaging: Review and interpret various diagnostic imaging studies, including but not limited to X-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound scans, ensuring accurate diagnosis and timely reporting.
- Collaborate with Physicians: Work closely with referring physicians and other healthcare providers to discuss findings and provide guidance for treatment planning.
- Ensure Patient Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize patient exposure to radiation.
- Consultation and Follow-Up: Provide consultation to referring physicians and support patient follow-up as necessary.
- Stay Updated with Advances in Radiology: Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in radiology practices and imaging technologies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Certification: Board certification or eligibility in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent.
- License: Active and unrestricted medical license in Illinois
