The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting medical images, providing accurate diagnostic reports, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze diagnostic images, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and mammograms.
- Provide accurate and timely diagnostic reports to referring physicians and healthcare providers.
- Consult with referring physicians to discuss imaging results and provide recommendations for further management.
- Ensure all reports and procedures comply with established protocols and standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
- Engage in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of diagnostic accuracy.
- Utilize PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and other relevant software for image interpretation and report generation.
- Stay current with advancements in radiology and incorporate new techniques and technologies as appropriate.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board certification in Radiology.
- Valid medical license in the state of Mississippi
- Proficiency in interpreting a wide range of diagnostic images.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
