Job RT108
As an Outpatient Radiologist, you will be responsible for interpreting and diagnosing medical images to aid in the treatment and diagnosis of patients. You will work closely with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality outpatient radiology services. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of various radiological procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Image Interpretation: Review and interpret medical images such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic imaging studies to diagnose illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions accurately.
- Diagnostic Analysis: Analyze and evaluate diagnostic images, providing detailed reports to referring physicians regarding findings, impressions, and recommendations for further imaging or treatment if necessary.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of radiological images, adhering to established protocols and safety standards. Identify and report any technical issues with imaging equipment promptly.
- Patient Care: Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during imaging procedures. Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients regarding their diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including referring physicians, nurses, and technicians, to coordinate patient care and provide consultation on imaging findings.
- Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in Radiology.
- Texas medical license and appropriate certifications to practice radiology.
- Fellowship training in a specialized area of radiology (optional but preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Knowledge of relevant radiological software and technology.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
